In accordance with the Decree of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan dated 03.04.2019 No. PP-4265 "On measures to further reform and increase of the investment attractiveness of the chemical industry", The Project on wide range production methanol based (Navoiazot), developed by BCG (USA), is being realised.

Production of phosphorous and complex mineral fertilisers in Tashkent region

Kazakhstan is interested in realisation of a number of anchor projects in Uzbekistan, including the plant,construction for the production of phosphorus and complex fertilisers in Tashkent region.

Construction of a plant for the production of ammonia and carbamide in Yangier

Uzkimesanoat, together with Samsung Engineering, will build a plant for the production of carbamide and ammonia in Yangier city, Syrdarya region. As part of the project for the construction of an ammonia plant in Yangier, preliminary engineering surveys were carried out at the site in the IV quarter of 2020. In March 2021, a cooperation agreement was signed with the Khokimiyat of Syrdarya region. In June 2021, negotiations with Casale SA were conducted to sign a contract for granting a license for the technological part of the project, as well as the development of the basic project (PDP, FEED). The construction of a plant for the production of complex mineral fertilisers based on ammonia in Syrdarya region is realised with the aim of starting the ammonia production for the development of chemical and agricultural industries, as well as the broad involvement of modern technologies in the generation of additional production capacities for the production of highly effective complex fertilisers. The project will serve to further develop, diversify and increase the investment attractiveness of the chemical industry. After the completion to further development, diversity, and increase of the investment of the plant with an estimated cost of $350 million, it is planned to produce up to 495 thousand tons of ammonia. It is planned to install modern equipment from Europe, China, Russia and other countries. It is planned to generate more than 300 permanent job positions.

Project of a vertically integrated complex for the production of complex mineral fertilisers in Samarkand region

The aim of wide attraction of modern technologies and generation of additional production capacities for the production of highly effective complex fertilisers. The production will consist of a chemical area for the complex mineral fertilisers in Samarkand region, as well as a processing plant and phosphorite deposits in Navoi region. It is expected that after the completion of construction, the Samarkand chemical complex will produce up to 900 thousand tons per year of complex mineral fertilisers

Chemical-Industrial Technopark

Location: Republic of Uzbekistan, Tashkent region

The decision on the project was made to create a favorable business environment and investment climate, realise the investment for the projects on high-tech and modern facilities for deep processing of mineral resources and the production of competitive products on domestic and foreign markets, as well as to generate new vacancies in Tashkent
region. The technopark will appear on the territory of the research and manufacturing association for the production of rare metals and hard alloys of Almalyk MMC and the workshop for the production of sodium metal of Maxam-Chirchik with a total area of 31.24 hectares. Residents of the park will receive tax and customs privileges of participants of the free economic zone for 10 years. The State Entrepreneurship Support Fund of the Republic of Uzbekistan will provide residents with guarantees and compensation for part of the interest on loans. The investment activity of the technopark will be managed by a special company, the founders of which will include Himgrad. It is planned to put the technopark into operation before 2025.

Organisation of a chemical research, production and educational cluster

Location: Republic of Uzbekistan, the village of Ulugbek

A scientific and chemical cluster will be created in the village of Ulugbek. It will include administrative and educational buildings, laboratories and other facilities. It is noted that it is planned to develop scientific plans and training programs by the end of 2022.
